Tell us about Whispers.
This is the second novel in The Secret Watcher series.  Owen Ryer, the fifteen year old protagonist has grown in ability and that’s a good thing because the villains are just getting tougher and are pursuing him more relentlessly than ever before!  Fortunately for Owen, his buddy Marlo is also getting better at what he does best… computer manipulation.  They’ll need that when the dark watchers come, because there is no doubt… they will. 

For Owen, high school is difficult enough without adding the stress of knowing that there are some things in this world that only a secret watcher can fix.  He wonders what is going on with Lucie who is doing everything she can to avoid him.  Then there’s Tess.  She’s older, wiser and really likes him, but he’s afraid that she might just be using him.  Something strange is happening on campus and his friend Katie is involved.  And finally his father is not himself; he blames Owen for everything and threatens to give his secret away.  Owen is scared – plenty of dark watchers are already after him without his father exposing his secret. Now Owen and White Eagle must go to Florida in the hope that they can get to the bottom of what is going on.  They’re afraid it’s a trap but what choice do they have?  It’s not in Owen’s nature to avoid danger.  He will go where he is needed.  Now if he can just make it out alive, because girl problems, not getting along with his dad and keeping up on homework are nothing compared to what’s waiting.

Whispers is book two in the series.  I would invite you to read Visions book one, released last September and be watching for book three due out this summer.  There will be five books in The Secret Watchers series.

What genre is it?
Young Adult action, adventure and suspense.

What kind of readers will it appeal to?
The focus is for about age fourteen but I have avid readers as young as eleven on up. No, really!  I have grandparents who have read my series and love it!

I’m the lady of many hats!  No, really… I write, I’m a teacher, mom, wife, daughter, and volunteer.  I work two jobs to support my writing habit!  I love to share positive thoughts and bits of wisdom.  I like to help other indie authors.  Some think I can give the Duracell bunny a run for his money and others have called me effervescent.  My not-so-secret obsessions are action adventure movies, nature photography and… marionberry pie!

First I want to finish Owen’s adventures in The Secret Watchers series.  I have plans for a dystopian novel, a children’s book and perhaps more adventures in The Secret Watchers universe.
