Tell us about your new book.
The name of my first book is After the Storm book 1 “Menotomy”. It takes place 5 years after the world ends and follows a group of survivors who live in a small town outside of Boston and how they get by in a harsh new world.

It also deals with their struggles for freedom when the remnants of the old government step back in to try and reassert their former control over the remaining population by any means necessary.

What genre is it?
After the Storm is a Post Apocalyptic story. I guess it would fall into the speculative fiction category. It is also very action/adventure oriented.

What kind of readers will it appeal to?
After the Storm should appeal to anyone that loves the Post Apocalyptic / Apocalyptic genres. People who liked Book of Eli or I am Legend. Fans of television shows like Falling Skies will probably enjoy my books.

How does the world end – zombies, an epidemic, war?
In my series After the Storm the world was decimated by a giant asteroid that split apart when it entered the atmosphere. One larger rock took out most of Oregon while several smaller ones hit throughout the country and possibly other parts of the world. That part of the story hasn’t been explored yet. 

So you’re planning a series of novels?
After the Storm book 2 “Boston” is available now and After the Storm book 3 “New  York” will be available early April,  2013!

In that case can you tell us a bit about After The Storm “Boston”?
Book 1 ends with a bit of a cliffhanger having to do with the Army hunting the main character. This storyline picks up in Book 2 Boston and we get to explore a larger area of eastern Massachusetts and see how it’s changed since the end of the world. The reader also gets to meet a lot more characters and get a bit more information on the characters from the first book. 

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I was born and raised in a small town just outside of Boston MA and still live there now. I went to art school for illustration and have always loved telling stories. It wasn’t until the last couple years that I actually discovered that I enjoyed writing and was pretty good at it. At the time of writing this I’m about to turn 40, am feeling old and have a wife named Christina and a German shepherd named Lily.

What’s next?
I’m putting the finishing touches on the third book in the series as we speak. After that’s done and available I’ll be starting my next project. To be honest, I’m not really sure if I’ll be staying in the After the Storm world that I’ve created, or trying something different. I am also working on converting the first three books into screenplays, so that takes up a bit of time as well.
