Last time we chatted it was about Unexpected Legacy. Tell us about your new book.
This one is special to me because even though it’s my second novel to be published, it was my first completed manuscript. And I love the cover.

Here’s the back blurb:

She wants her old life back . . . He wants to leave his behind.

After her mother’s death, Megan Monroe is convinced her life has been tossed into a high-speed blender. Normal is long gone. While dealing with a grieving father, single-handedly running the family’s floral business and trying to re-shape her own career, she’s suddenly confronted with a troublesome new neighbor and an explosive secret from her mother’s past.

She can’t tell her father, and her sister refuses to believe, so Megan presses on alone, forced to carry a secret she didn’t even want to know. Determined to uncover the truth, she finds herself turning to a man she’s not sure she can trust. Tom Blake has fled his city life to escape the publicity of a high-profile divorce. Planning to lie low, he has no intention of being drawn into someone else’s family angst. But he runs into more than he bargained for when he meets his new neighbors. In an unexpected turn of events, he finds himself thrust into the role of confidante and on the last path he wanted to travel – a path that threatens his plans for the future.

What genre is it?
Contemporary romance.

What kind of readers will it appeal to?
Readers who like a love story that’s romantic without a lot of graphic sex. And readers who like romances that also have a couple of different story lines going.

Complete this sentence for us: if you like _________________, you’ll love Meetings of Chance.
If you like books about relationships with realistic characters and happy endings, you’ll love my book.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I started my writing career as a newspaper reporter, then moved into corporate communications. Writing fiction is much more fun! So far, I’ve written fiction with romantic elements, contemporary romance and women’s fiction. I may try a non-fiction piece about college search and admissions one of these days. My daughter just graduated from an Ivy League university, and my son is just starting the search process. But right now my plate is full with writing, keeping up with my critique partners and Book Club and all of this marketing and promotion to get the word out my books! For fun, I go to movie group (a spin-off of my book club), and have lunch dates with friends. For the first time in a long time, I actually saw most of the movies up for Academy Awards this year!

What’s next?
This summer I’m planning to release the first of a small-town trilogy. The series is women’s fiction rather than romance, and focuses on the lives and friendships of three women in the town (made up by yours truly). Check out my website for more info.

Also, my current work in progress is a contemporary romance that borders on New Adult. Hoping to have it available by the end of the year. If you purchase Meetings of Chance, you’ll get a sneak preview at the back.
