Tell us about your new book.
We are thrilled you asked!! We would LOVE to do so!

Diamonds in the Pink is a newly published adult erotica story.

We feel it is sure to put a smile on your face and a tingle throughout your body! Who knows, it may even find its way into your heart in the process.

First, you must meet Samantha Gibbins (the main character) . . . Sam is a gal all of us ladies can likely relate to in some fashion or another. Riddled with insecurities, Sam is married to a now well to do, albeit self-oriented man. She is attempting to get used to the lavish lifestyle that surrounds her now as a result of her hubby’s new job. She has become bored, lonely and dissatisfied with her daily life which entails what she perceives as the drudgeries of day to day life as a stay at home housewife/mom. Until one day a trip to the shopping mall, in search of the perfect gift, rocks her world.

Now faced with exciting new possibilities, Sam embarks upon a journey of self exploration and discovery. She realizes that sometimes stepping outside of the proverbial comfort box can lead to happiness and fulfillment in ways she never anticipated.

What kind of erotica is it?
The genre is Erotic Fiction. Now in chatting with others, when people hear that, they almost instantaneously suck in their breath, hold it and avert their eyes. Embarrassed? Not sure! We’re not so relax! Regardless, it is a steamy sort of erotica as opposed to the “hard core” stuff that is so frequently associated with the word and genre.

Oh so what kind of readers will it appeal to?
We designed Diamonds in the Pink to appeal to a wide range of women anywhere from 18 to 108! (hey if they’re still reading these at 108 then God Bless them!!! Have at it and enjoy!)

Sam (the main character) is a likeable girl that we have felt a LOT of women can relate to. In the process of the story unfolding, she does explore some areas that may turn cheeks a little pink but as a whole, in our research for writing, we have found that more often than not women actually share some of the same thoughts and fantasies as Sam! They just keep them hidden to themselves so they’re not judged! Diamonds in the Pink gives these ladies along with those that are already interested the chance to explore and experience – even if only in their mind while reading!

This is why we feel that there is a very wide range of women to whom this book will appeal. We are designing the follow up books the same way along with our others we are working on.

Of course, we can’t forget the MEN in our audience! (nor would we want to!) We know men will absolutely enjoy reading this book as well for a variety of reasons! (wink wink)

How long did it take to write this book?
Hmmm, this one is a harder question, believe it or not! The dreaming and talking of writing that we did before actually doing it has been ongoing for years. The physical act of writing didn’t take as long as one would think. Three to six months is a reasonable estimate. Of course we interspersed writing with hours of conversation (aka “girl chat” under the guise of “research”) and family life.

What was the most challenging part of your creative process?
The most challenging part of our creative process seems to be when we are writing about characters that are outside of our comfort zones. We can’t give too much away yet but let’s just say that it is sometimes hard to write from the standpoint of a character who is, shall we say, less than an upstanding, law abiding, contributing member of society. It’s easy to put ourselves into the places of the characters that go with our innate grain. But when the character needs to be “bad”, it’s more difficult.

We’ve got a question, by the way: just how do you guys work together? Same room, or via the Internet?
Annalise: Up until I moved from Ohio to Florida a year ago, we worked together for hours and hours at a time in person.  Frequently on her enclosed patio with a huge fire going and a bottle of wine between us!  Then the cold got the better of me so I packed up and headed south. Now we work together over the phone (thank God for free mobile to mobile minutes and texts!) and internet.  Of course being in different states now is a good excuse for her to “vacation” down here quite often and for us to go on “research” trips!

Abigail is totally creative and comes up with tons of story lines and ideas.  We then both do the brainstorming to come up with how to fit it all together!  That is the fun part!  Then I get the pleasure of typing it all up and formatting everything.  We both proof and edit and then torture (not literally of course) our husbands by forcing them to listen to the finished pieces countless times!

Tell us about yourselves.
We are Annalise Charles & Abigail Dray. We are __something ladies (you never ask a lady her age!) who are friends and soul sisters. Two minds have never been on such the same wavelength. Abigail has a creative streak in her that rivals Einstein’s intelligence. She has dreamed of writing books for years. Enter Annalise (that’s me). I decided to take the bull by the horns and start putting down some of those ideas that Abigail and I have shared back and forth for so long. Once that got in motion, everything snowballed and took on a life of its own. Now we are both addicted to writing and can’t wait to share our stories with everyone!

We are both married with children (hey, wasn’t that a TV series!?) and our husbands seem to really enjoy our innovative ideas we come up with in the name of “book writing research”. We also have wonderful four legged “children” with the Bichons being the orneriest of the brood!

We reside on the North and South coasts of the grand USA.

How can we follow you guys on the internet?
We have a Facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/DiamondsInThePink.AnnaliseCharles.AbigailDray

Feel free to drop by and say hi! Share your thoughts while you enjoy your morning coffee or tea!

What’s next?
We are gearing Sam up for new adventures and exciting twists in the follow up book to Diamonds in the Pink. We are also working on a historical erotic fiction novel for those of you that love to take a moment’s break back in time!
