Tell us about your new book.
Alabama Hargrove is headed south to meet the family of her hunky handyman boyfriend, Reed O’Hara. On the way, she stumbles on a grand, old house and catches the renovating bug again. Reed and Alabama purchase the house, but when he discovers the lifeless body of the previous owner, Alabama must clear his name before their renovating days are over. This small town has secrets, and so does the house… it’s up to Alabama to solve the mystery or possibly be haunted for life.

Complete this sentence for us: If you like________________, then you’ll love The Haunted Fixer-Upper.
If the like other cozy mystery authors like Victoria Laurie, Juliet Blackwell, or Jennie Bentley, then you’ll love The Haunted Fixer-Upper.

Tell us a bit about Alabama Hargrove and Reed O’Hara. You’re obviously quite fond of these characters, aren’t you?
I love all of my characters. Well, except for the villains. Alabama and Reed are learning the ins and outs of home renovating, plus navigating their new relationship. They run into a lot of trouble along the way.

You’ve got a number of different series that you write. Tell us about them. Do you have a favourite? And what is the essence of a Rose Pressey novel?
I have six series with another one set to release next month (March, 2013). I love all of them, so it’s hard for me to pick a favorite. If I had to pick, I’d say the Larue Donavan and Mystic Cafe are my favorite.

My novels feature fun and quirky characters with Southern flair.

You suffer from Psoriatic Arthritis and have had to undergo a number of operations. Beyond the obvious impact of you not being able to write under anaesthesia, how has this affected your work? Has it, for example, given you a different outlook on life?
I never let my disease get me down. The joint pain may make moving around slower, but that just gives me more time to write. Life is what you make of it.

Tell us a bit more about yourself.
I enjoy decorating my home on a budget. I love finding bargains. Spending time with family and playing with my Chihuahua is a top priority. I also enjoy listening to music and touring historic sites.

Have you got a blog or website where readers can keep up with your work? How can we follow you on social media?
They can find my blog and website at www.rosepressey.com. I’m on Facebook and Twitter (@RosePressey).

Forever Charmed will be available on March 23, 2013.
