Tell us about your new book.
WISHBONE: A Manhattan power couple survive a tragedy and attempt a fresh start, only to be plagued with unexplained and disastrous occurrences.

Be Careful What You WISH For…

At the age of nine, growing up in the French countryside, Julien Grenier witnessed the brutal murder of his grandfather. Now, at forty-five, he continues to be plagued by horrific nightmares and reenactments of that tragic event.

Living a successful though austere lifestyle on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Julien has recreated himself, building emotional walls that even his young wife cannot penetrate. Though somewhat moody, Julien is a good man with a heart of gold, and a great sense of loyalty and responsibility; enabling his wife, Rachael, to turn a blind eye to his tightly-kept secrets.

Rachael is thirty-two years old; an art dealer and playful free spirit, but after a home invasion assault leaves her emotionally unstable and destroys their care-free and content world, they relocate to a safer environment with the hope of a fresh start.

Kings Hollow is a quaint town, nestled in the serene Catskill Mountains of upstate New York. At first, their new home appears to be the miracle they prayed for, until a traditional children’s game begins to destroy their bliss; Rachael is no longer herself and Julien is experiencing a string of bad luck and unfortunate accidents.

At the center of it all is seventeen-year-old Sarah, a part-time caretaker on the property.

Can Julien and Rachael escape the nightmare of Kings Hollow…or is
this just Wishful thinking?

What genre is it?
WISHBONE falls into the horror-thriller category, which is about like saying, you’d like “Bob”; he’s very “human” – TOO BROAD! Wishbone is a mature horror novel – scary without excessive gore and bare-breasted co-eds. Contemporary-Drama, Suspense, Supernatural, Mind-bender; you name it.

What kind of readers will it appeal to?
Readers who enjoy mature horror films, such as THE SIXTH SENSE, PREMONITION, SHUTTER ISLAND, THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT, STIR OF ECHOES. Readers who enjoy early Stephen King books, as well as, Dean Koontz, John Saul, Peter Benchley, Michael Crichton. Where the scariest monsters are man itself and the gore is only conjured in your own mind. Great character and plot development which stands above and beyond the boogeyman.

We know that this is asking you to blow your own trumpet, but share a reader review with us.
WISHBONE is a multi-layered thriller incorporating several sub-plots. Mind-bending Horror at its best, Brooklyn Hudson takes you on
a suspenseful roller coaster ride of emotional turmoil and shocking
events.~JJ Kohler

When we finish the final page we’ll be…?
Sorry to have it end and hoping there’s a Part II.

Is there?
Unfortunately, I was held up in contract negotiation, but WISHBONE II is due out shortly, followed by GNAW, EYE OF THE BEHOLDER, THE GYPSY PROJECT and WISHBONE III, plus the companion book.

We’ve heard rumours of a Wishbone movie. Is it true? Give us all the details!
I can’t wait to discuss the WISHBONE film adaption in full detail. We are currently attaching actors and negotiating the details. I’m legally unable to offer specifics at this time. Once everything’s finalized and I’m given a green light, you’ll be the first to know.

Also, the screen adaption edition of the book is set to be released as a new edition this April and WISHBONE II will be released shortly after. Cherry Hill Publishing is releasing the audio book version in the near future as well.

We can’t wait. Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m a jack of all trades and get bored easy; therefore, I always had my hands in many “pots”, so it’s best to visit my blog for a full bio, but I’ve been writing most of my life. I also write, produce, and direct Replica-Rock stage shows for Las Vegas and touring companies. I have a pet Fox Squirrel, named Willow, who has quite a Facebook fan club of his own. My passion is writing fiction and screenplays. I’ve retired from virtually all else (as of Jan.2012) to pursue this passion full-time – finally!

You mentioned a blog; do you have a website?
I do have a website, but my blog is far more interesting and also contains pages about me, my writing, and much more: http://brooklynhudson.blogspot.com/
