Tell us about your The Story in the Stars.
What if God gave a message to ancient man through the constellations? And what if, millennia later, people on a distant planet “read” that message, though the modern terrestrials had forgotten it? That might lead to what we have here: The Story in the Stars. Which is…

Ancient Gannah was well on the way to taking over the whole galaxy,
until the people of Karkar engineered a virus that stopped them in
their tracks. Now, eight centuries later, the plague has struck again.
When the League of Planets receives the distress signal, Karkar-born
doctor Pik is ordered to find a cure, despite his hatred of the whole
Gannahan race. By the time he arrives on Gannah, it’s almost too
late; Dassa is the only survivor. And she has a mission of her own.

Dassa and Pik survive a pirate attack, unsafe starcraft, food
poisoning, vicious beasts, and a plane crash. But the hardest part is
enduring one another’s company. The Creator who wrote the story of
redemption in the stars has commanded her to share it with her
reluctant savior. That’s not all He expects of her, but the rest is
unthinkable.

What genre is it?
Science fiction from a scriptural perspective.

That’s different. Is there anything else like it? What kind of readers will it appeal to?
Fans of Christian fantasy (like C. S. Lewis) and sci-fi.

Complete this sentence for us: if you like _________________, you’ll love The Story in the Stars.
If you like a fun adventure that gives you something to think about, you’ll love my book.

How would you like the reader to feel as they read the last word of this book?
Jazzed about how the story played out and eager to read the rest of the series. If the reader was not already familiar with the gospel message, I’d hope he or she would be curious to learn more.

Rest of the series?
This is the first in a four-book series; only the first two are currently available now [the second book is Words in the Wind] , but the other two are in the works.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m a latecomer to this authorial thing – never wrote until I was in my mid-40s. Didn’t  like Christian fiction and wasn’t a fan of sci-fi. But because God has a marvelous sense of humor, I’m now writing sci-fi from a scriptural perspective.

Do you have a website where we can keep up with your work? How about Twitter?

What’s next?
Finish the series. After that? God only knows!
