Talk to us about Falling Into You. What’s it about?
Falling Into You is about a girl who falls in love with her life-long best friend, Kyle, and the affects on her life when Kyle is tragically killed in an accident. It’s about how she deals with the grief and how she eventually learns to let go and move on and find love again.

What genre is it?

It’s New Adult.

What kind of readers will it appeal to?
Anyone who likes to on an emotional journey will like this book. If you’re reading things like Waiting For You, After Math, The Edge of Never, then you’ll like this book, I think.

That’s true, but your books, unlike those of many of your peers, aren’t just light novels. Falling Into You really takes readers on an emotional rollercoaster. Did you ever fear that maybe it was a little too much?
I did worry about that, honestly. I wondered if maybe Nell and Colt had gone through too much, if people would lambast me for writing something TOO wrenching without enough of a pat HEA [happily ever after].

Tell us a little about Wounded.
Wounded is in the same vein as Falling Into You, in that it’s emotional, dark, and sometimes difficult to read, but ultimately redemptive. It’s about an Iraqi girl named Rania who is orphaned at a young age during the war in Iraq and how she survives. It’s also about a US Marine named Hunter Lee and how circumstances throw him together with Rania. It’s, ultimately, about the power of love to overcome all obstacles. It’s set during a war, but it’s NOT a war story. There are some gritty scenes it, but it is at its beating heart a romance.

Your Big Girls series is a change of pace from Falling Into You and Wounded.Big Girls Better Jasinda Wilder What’s it about? Anna isn’t your stereotypical main character of an erotica series, is she?
Big Girls is completely different from Wounded and Falling Into You in the sense that Big Girls is more light-hearted, less dark and gritty and heart-wrenching. Anna is, I hope, a unique erotica heroine. She’s a plus-size girl, and she deals with the insecurities a bigger girl would face in life, and in romance. Anna learns to believe in herself and to be comfortable in her own skin and with her sexuality, and along the way finds true love, but not without some bumps along the way.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I was born and raised in suburban Detroit, which is where I still live. I like to challenge readers in my stories, and I like to write about men and women who are strong and sexy, but also flawed. I read a lot, I write a lot, and I listen to a lot of music. I was karaoke DJ for a long time, and I’ve also been a private vocal teacher, so music is a huge part of my life.

I LOVE my readers, and I’m always interacting personally with them.

How do you interact with them – website? social media?

My website is www.JasindaWilder.com. My Facebook is https://www.facebook.com/jasinda.wilder?fref=ts and my Twitter is @JasindaWilder. There are buttons for those links on my website, along with a direct contact form, a newsletter link, and my email address (JasindaWilder@gmail.com). I love to talk to my readers and I will answer all correspondence as soon as I’m able.

What’s next?
Next up is Big Girls Do It Pregnant, which is the final book tying up both Big Girls and Rock Stars. I’m really excited about that one, since it’s the culmination of nine stories between both titles, and it’s giving readers the ending they’ve been patiently (and not so patiently!) waiting for since last year. After that—and I just announced this recently—I’ve got a follow-up book to Falling Into You planned. It’s not a sequel, but it will address a lot of the questions I’ve gotten regarding the end to FIY. That’s all I will say about it at this time.

Ok, fine. I’ll give you this: the title is Falling Into Us, and here’s the tagline:

“When the tree fell and Kyle died, Nell’s life was changed forever. She wasn’t the only one.”

And that’s all I’m saying for now. Stay tuned to the social media listed above for teasers and other info.
