Tell us a little more about Catrin.

Catrin Volker lost her mother at an early age and was raised by her father and his friend, Benjin. Though she is a skilled horse trainer, she doesn’t fit in at school. She and her friends from the countryside are treated as outsiders and are antagonized by the townies. Catrin doesn’t want any trouble, and she knows her cousin Chase doesn’t feel the same.

Tell us about the Godsland series.

There are six books in the Godsland series thus far, and I’m currently working on the seventh book in the series, THE FIFTH MAGIC. The series consists of multiple trilogies, each of which tells a complete story. I look forward to continuing the series.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I’m a former horse trainer who got kicked out of high-school. Starting in the mail room, I worked my way up the corporate ladder and found my passion for technology along the way. After fixing some computers that were headed for the dumpster and getting access to the Internet, I learned to teach myself how to do things. All the while, I spent much of my spare time reading fantasy.

After becoming an accomplished programmer, network engineer, and tinkerer, I was working as Vice President of R&D for a dotcom, when they decided to go in a different direction. I was left with the chance to change my life, and decided to chase my dream of writing fantasy. It took me a while to find success, but being a full-time writer of fantasy is definitely a dream come true.

What’s next?

I’m looking forward to having new releases in the fall. I like to have the third book in the trilogy pretty well in hand before releasing the first one. I try not to keep readers waiting.
