Tell us about your new book.
Stella in Stilettos! I’ve pictured Stella Matson for a long time (a riot of long, curly blonde hair, flat chest, wide hips, strong-willed, sometimes klutz) and finally had to tell her story. Having been dumped by her handsome fiance, Stella has had it with guys who schmooze their way into a woman’s heart and slide out the door when they get a better offer. To cope with the heartbreak, she immerses herself in the one thing that won’t leave her teary-eyed on a Friday night – her job with the lingerie company. She also adopted the attitude that all great-looking men are trouble. So what did I do? Put an extremely good looking guy, Alex Clay, in her work enviroment. Let the chaos begin! Stella handles each conflict with Alex as it arises, but something lurks in the background the entire time – an attraction to Alex that catches her off guard, causes her a lot of headaches and frustration throughout the story, and finally leaves her no choice but to give in to it. I make Stella and Alex work hard for their happily-ever-after. I gave them each a best friend who have good intentions but inevitably they add to the chaos. They also help bring about the HEA.

What genre is it?
Stella in Stilettos is contemporary romance laced with humor.

What kind of readers will it appeal to?
Since it’s the romance genre, Stella will appeal mostly to women. But anyone who enjoys stories filled with chaos, humor, and the struggle of characters to get their happily-ever-after, will enjoy Stella and Alex’s journey.

Complete this sentence for us: if you like _________________, you’ll love Stella in Stilettos.
If you like sharp, witty characters who give as good as they get, you’ll love my book!

Tell us a bit more about Stella.
Stella is strong-willed, confident, a bit sassy, but her life has been turned upside down when her fiance leaves to find himself. (Translation: he already has someone else on the hook) Stella’s confidence takes a hit and she also turns cautious when it comes to men; most especially, men who have looks, charisma, and too much self-assurance. She’s also a loyal friend (and is easily manipulated by her best friend).

And Alex?
Alex is tall, good looking, oozes confidence in everything he does. He’s orginally with the communications department but the CEO has taken a liking to him and wants to give him a taste of everything from the mail room to the board room. Alex finds himself in the advertising department and under the careful scrutiny of Stella. He is attracted to her; at the same time, he tries to steer clear of her because he thinks it’s wrong to get involved with someone you work with. Too much self-assurance causes trouble right off the bat.

Have you written any other books that we should read next?
*smiles humbly* Yes, of course. One Small Fib, Lucky Ducks, Kiss Me, Three Days With Molly, The Gift of Gray, and Stay Close, Novac.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m a bit of an introvert who loves to write. When I’m not writing, I’m reading — all genres. As a part-time fitness instructor, I try to find new ways to stay fit. When summer comes, my green thumb emerges with sunflowers and pumpkins. I’m an eternal optimist and I love to laugh.

Do you have a website where we can keep up with your work?
Yes. You can follow my work at www.janromes.com

How can we follow you on Twitter and/or Facebook?

What’s next?
I’m currently knee-deep in my next project, titled Married to Maggie.
