Interview with Jessica Peterson, author of The Key to Life
The Key to Life is about a young woman, Anna Wilson, who is determined to help her friend Matt regain his happiness. When Anna discovers that Matt is in love with her, unable to say that she returns his feelings, she finds herself fighting even harder to restore order into his life. Her personal mission takes her on a journey from the doorstep of a wounded ex-lover, through shark infested waters, to a hellish island in the middle of nowhere. All the while, Anna can’t help but wonder if what she’s doing will be enough to help her friend or if she will be forced to live with her burden of guilt forever for not loving him back. What genre is it? A good clue would be if it has a strong female protagonist. What is Anna Wilson like? What kind of readers will The Key to Life appeal to? Complete this sentence for us: if you like _________________, you’ll love this book. I feel like that is extremely presumptuous to say since Jane Austen is so amazing, but because she is so amazing, she has been a great influence to my writing. How would you like the reader to feel as they read the last word of your book? Will we be seeing more of Anna? That’s great news. Promise to come back and talk to us about it when it’s published. In the meantime, tell us something about yourself. Do you have a website where we can keep up with your work? How can we follow you on Twitter and/or Facebook? |
