Sanctuary 12 is book 1 in the Fallen Gods Saga. It revolves around nine characters who are linked by a mysterious little girl called Celeste. Guided by her whispers, they must piece together the puzzle of their lives and their extraordinary abilities before something unspeakable befalls every living thing on earth.

Can they make it to the white manor where Celeste lies in wait? Or will the sinister Mr Cradleworth find them first?

There are nine central characters, but I will give you a brief description of one, and where they find themselves at the beginning of the book.

Martha Johnson is a woman in her early twenties with experience beyond her years. She lives in a massive trailer park in Arizona, trying her best to provide and be a mother to her younger brother, Davy. She dreams of a better life, but that isn’t the only thing she dreams. Demons stalk the highways of her mind, and Celeste beckons her to abandon her home and her family in exchange for the ancient knowledge she has always feared.

Sanctuary 12 blends horror with fantasy and science fiction.

What kind of readers will it appeal to?
Anyone who likes young adult urban fantasy should enjoy this. It is important to note that the human themes are very adult, and there are lashings of gore throughout.

How would you like the reader to feel as they read the last word of your book?
Seeing as this first book plays out like a mystery, I would hope that readers would be dying to get hold of the next book in the series to find out how the tale unfolds.

What can you tell us about that next book?
Book 2 of the Fallen Gods Saga is finished and should be released in November. I’m currently working hard on the third and final instalment, which should be out towards the end of next year.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m 38 years old and live in Staffordshire, UK. I have been writing ever since I was a kid and I’m also a massive horror movie fan. I regularly attend Film 4’s annual Frightfest film festival. I’m also a great music lover. Music usually inspires my best ideas when I’m writing.
