Interview with Shirley Wine, author of The Farmer Takes a Wife
My latest book THE FARMER TAKES A WIFE is Book Three in the trilogy The Mulleins of Katherine Bay. Katherine Bay has not been kind to the Mullein family, they have had to fight tooth and claw to gain control of what is rightfully theirs. Heath Mullein, the youngest of the Mullein siblings is no exception. Scarred by his childhood, he’s struggled to get his education and now he’s returned to Katherine Bay to run the Family property Rata Ridge. Heath had always been warned to be careful what he wishes for….he just might get it… When Sarah Kreagan lands on his doorstep in the middle of a storm and asks him to marry her and to Heath it’s a dream come true….but nothing comes easy for a Mullein… Heath knows Sarah is frightened, and that she’s hiding big secrets…. these things he can live with….but what really sticks in his craw is that His Sarah is pregnant by another man… Her secrets and the man who is stalking her tip Heath’s orderly peaceful life on it’s ear… What genre is it? What kind of readers will it appeal to? Tell us more about Heath and Sarah. He loves the surf and turned down the opportunity to go professional, instead returning to Katherine Bay to run the family farm of Rata Ridge. He is a veterinarian with a deep love of the land and his animals… and always has a soft spot for the weak and the needy… and his soft heart had landed him in more than one bad situation. Sarah Kreagan is the daughter of a very wealthy man, and after being betrayed in the worst way a woman can be, she turns to the one man she knows has never been influenced by her father’s wealth… but Heath Mullein, the man, barely resembles the boy she knew and idolised as a teenager… how can this mismatched couple possibly reach a happy ever after? We can’t wait to meet them in… The Farmer Takes a Wife? Have you written any other books that we should read next? One Hour To Midnight. Tell us a bit about yourself. After years of trying to break through the glass ceiling of traditional publishing I have gone the Indie Publishing route. Do you have a website where we can keep up with your work? How can we follow you on Twitter and/or Facebook? What’s next? I am also halfway through writing LOGAN’S RETURN the sequel to LOVERS’ LIES that so many of my readers have asked me for and I hope to have this published before the end of the year. |
Thanks so much for the opportunity to showcase my latest book
I have enjoyed all of the Mulleins of Katherine Bay, Shirley, and I love getting to know secondary characters when you give them their own stories. I look forward to many more books set in this beautiful part of the world.
thanks Susanne
It’s always great to hear from a happy reader.
