Maddie has been through more tragedy than most people would ever see in their life. She has given up on living, and only living to breathe. With nobody on her side, she has been marked as the cause of her mother’s death and lives with this guilt every day. She is close to giving up until she sets her eyes on the one person who doesn’t look at her with disgust.

Jase is the new guy in school, he was transferred to a new school after moving out of his father’s house into his mothers. But Jase knows about Maddie and knows about her past. He thinks he can keep this a secret. When the truth comes out will they be able to survive their worlds being turned upside down? Will their connection be strong enough to make it through?

What genre is it?
I was writing it as YA Romance, but these characters have had a mind of their own. There are some steamy scenes. So I am still unsure of how to put this in a genre.

What kind of readers will it appeal to?
I am hoping to appeal to female readers who are looking for a suspenseful book, who like to hang on the edge of their seat never know what is going to happen next. I also hope that this might help some girls who have had extremely trying lives and helps them heal. Showing them that everyone is beautiful and there is life after horrible events. That there is always some out there for you.

That’s a valuable lesson. Tell us a little more about Maddie.
Maddie has been through a lot. She is close to giving up. What she doesn’t know is she is stronger than she thinks. It takes the encouragement and acknowledgement from Jase to see what living is.

Jase sounds like a great guy.
Jase is the all-American boy. Sweet, caring, but has some issues of his own he tries to ignore. He loves deeply. He also carries a secret he hope he can hide. One that he knows will rip them apart.

We can’t wait to discover it.
Some of the events of this book are real life experiences for me. I have played down, and also played up some of the plots. Also a lot is made up as well.

Oh wow, we’ve all had tough patches in our lives. We guess that will help readers connect with Maddie and Jase. How do you expect the reader to feel as they read the last word?
Healed. I would want them to finish this book knowing these characters have grown, flourished and made the most life could give them. Seeing that life can go on after tragedy.

Have you written any other books that we should read next?
Not yet. I am just about finished with this one before editing. Also I have another book in the works that is half way done.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am an avid reader, blogger. I  am a wife to an amazing husband who is extremely supportive of this Journey for me. Also a mother to 3 young boys. I live vicariously through books. I love to cook, and I have a strange obsession with cleaning.

Do you have a website where we can keep up with your work?
My website is in the works, so not at this moment.
