Interview with Jinx Schwartz, author of Just The Pits
Hetta Coffey is a sassy, redhaired Texan with a snazzy 45-yacht, and she’s not afraid to use it. She’s managed, during her first four books, to navigate the Pacific Ocean down to Mexico, and now she’s in the Sea of Cortez. Pushing forty and single, she’s worked worldwide and left a swath of failed romantic failures in her wake. As self-employed engineer with a penchant for off-beat projects that sometimes border on questionable, she’s finally landed a job that looks easy as pie, and promises to keep her out of trouble until her long-distance boyfriend can join her on the boat. To those who know Hetta, however, it comes as no surprise that this project quickly becomes the pits. Hired for a mining project in Baja California, her job is to be on the lookout for “anomalies” causing large cost overruns, it doesn’t take her long to discover that people are disappearing faster than pesos. What genre is this book? What kind of readers will it appeal to? If you like snarky women with an independent streak and an adventurous spirit, you’ll love my book. She sounds quite amazing. Tell us about the series. This is #5, so I would suggest 1 through 4 if you like to read a series in order. Tell us a bit about yourself. Do you have a website where we can keep up with your work? How can we follow you on Twitter and/or Facebook? What’s next? |
Thanks for the interview! I love it when readers like Hetta Coffey because she is so much fun to write about. Sometimes I don’t quite know who is in charge…her or me:-)
