In our last interview we talked about the very popular, Becoming Red. Tell us about your new novel.
Our new book, Becoming Bad, is the sequel to our debut novel Becoming Red. It continues Ash and Connal’s story, beginning in an underground world fraught with new dangers.

There isn’t just the threat of death for Ash in this strange hell, there is the fear she may lose herself. She’s already lost Connal, and everything she thought she was. She’s changing, becoming something new, something wilder, and without Connal as an anchor, Ash is fighting against the feral instincts trying to consume her. Battles abound, both emotional, sexual and physical, the wolves circle closer, Connal’s brother is King of the realm. And he wants Ash.

Remind us what genre this story is.
Paranormal Romance/ Urban Fantasy

Do we need to read Becoming Red before this book?
It’s essential that it’s read before Becoming Bad.

Point taken. What kind of readers will it appeal to?
Anyone who enjoys reading about wolf-shifters, nasty goddesses, broody heroes and Irish mythology, it will definitely appeal to. It’s not light and fluffy. It’s packed with angst, confusion and human weakness. There are some dark themes, mysteries and graphic sex, but it is a romance at the heart.

We grew quite fond of Ash in Becoming Red. Tell everyone about her.
Ash strives to be normal. She survives her mother’s slaughter and, through years of therapy and continuous nightmares, works to get her degree, get a job, to ignore the shadows. That gets harder when she’s forced to Dublin where the shadows have teeth. This second book sees Ash get some fangs of her own and turns her fight with her nightmares into a fight between her two sides: what she really is and who she thought she was. It’s a battle of wills, of desire, of fur and claws. All she has to do is survive.

Our title is a play on the Little Red, Big Bad motif that we run through the story. Since our debut was Becoming Red, Becoming Bad followed and we think it reflects the progression of Ash’s character. She is not quite the helpless little red riding hood we’d first thought she was. She’s something more.

If you like dark, adult paranormal romance with alpha-male heroes and a strong heroine, you’ll love our book!
