Piper Willow is a stubborn, broken and lonely teenaged girl who makes a decision that ends her life on Earth. She finds a purpose in a place called the Station, where she is offered the chance to help save the lives of those that were just like her – in need of a supportive voice inside their head.

What genre is your book?
This book/series is YA/NA and not intended for those under 16 to read unless their parents have first.

Let’s get this straight: so Piper is depressed enough to end her own life, but then has to be strong enough to save others?

Piper is an intricate character who often doesn’t understand her purpose, but struggles to find her place and grows by leaps and bounds throughout the series. As the author, I may be biased, but I feel a kinship to Piper, and am very proud of where she has managed to take the story.

The story stretches across a number of novels, right? Tell us about the Station series.
The first book, Dying to Forget, insinuates Piper Willow’s selfish desire to leave her problems behind her by ending her life. The title brings on new meanings throughout the book.

The second story, Dying to Remember, is basically the exact opposite of what the first represents – the desire to turn back the hands of time and do things differently. But even in a fictional world such as the Station, no one has the ability to change the past.

And this third book?
The third book in the Station Series follows the journey of Piper Willow in her after-life beyond suicide. Before you panic and cover the screen with your hand as you back-track to another title, I should mention the first book is free online and not at ALL what most expect when they begin it.

The books are meant to give hope – to those who have lost someone due to suicide, or those who’ve even considered it. Piper is there to show us all that second chances in the world of Fiction, are real.

We think the premise behind the series is really clever.
If you like reading something different, you’ll love my book.

So far, there’s not much to compare this idea to.

Exactly. Have you written any other books?
I do have another series currently in the work, called the Find Me series, for those who like post-apocalyptic/pandemic worlds. Readers have compared I Hope You Find Me to Stephen King’s The Stand. Of course, that’s a compliment no one can top!

Also, if you enjoy Paranormal Romance, I have a short titled Hawke and the Beast, in the Moon Rose Publishing anthology, Once Upon A Twisted Time.

There are others, and they can be found on my blog or Amazon Author pages.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m not nearly as interesting as my characters. I live in San Diego with my family (husband, two children, two dogs and a cat) in a house on top of a small hill that overlooks parts of South Bay. On a clear day we can see Coronado Island and most of downtown San Diego. I homeschool my children, which means often we have a love-hate relationship, but they are my personal cheerleaders, and the most beautiful things I’ve done in my 30-something years of life. We are also Vegetarians, and do what we can to support Animal Rights. I love dill pickles and hate black licorice. With a passion.

What’s next?
I am currently working on a Sci-Fi Fantasy titled The Dry Lands, and have started the outlining for the third Find Me book. I also have at least four other projects nagging my Muse for attention. I don’t sleep much.
