JIGSAW is a unique story about walking, the politics of war and peace amid a gasoline ban, and two women bonding in adversity. Romance motivates and intrigue complicates their lives as they walk across Ohio to Pittsburgh, PA.

Walking across Ohio? Who are these women, and why would they do that?
Beat Duncan responds to the loss of her dear grandfather by becoming a psychiatrist who works in the nuclear industry. With her friend, Darla Sennot, a PhD in nuclear science, they use their strengths to plan and carry out a 256 mile walk across Ohio, when their plant is destroyed by foreign missiles and gasoline is banned. Beat hopes to find romance with  U.S. Senator  George Gowan in Pittsburgh, where Darla has been promised a job.

We can’t figure out what genre this book is.
Light adventure.

Those who remember the peace movement of the ’70’s will understand more, but readers of all ages will enjoy the story, too. It has mystery and romance both.

Have you written any other books that we should read next?
Lieutentant James series:
Something Fishy in Manhattan
No Substitute for Murder
Mystery at Pima Point.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m having difficulty learning Japanese, so I enjoy writing in English. Seriously, I love reading, writing, math, and swimming. I really am studying Japanese because my son lives in Tokyo. In my lurid past, I’ve been a teacher, vocalist, bookkeeper, stocker (not stalker), and clerk. I wish I had tried writing then, instead.
