Southern Greed is about a naive young woman, Belinda, who meets a handsome suave young man, Adam. He is a man of the world and has been hired to find a rich old lady’s granddaughter. The old lady is dying and want to see her granddaughter. The granddaughter has been missing since she was three years old.

Belinda falls in love with Adam and agrees to portray the granddaughter, Kathy.  On the way to the mansion, Adam proposes to Belinda and she accepts. They are married by a Justice of the peace and proceed to the mansion.

That’s quick. Where’s the story going?
Belinda experiences flashbacks once she moves into the mansion and begins to suspect that she is Kathy. She also begins to suspect that Adam had married her for the inheritance, after witnessing a scene involving Adam and her grandmother’s nurse.

As the story moves along, Kathy/Belinda wonders if her grandmother is being poisoned. She doesn’t trust her grandmother’s doctor or the nurse. The housekeeper is also suspect. Kathy doesn’t know who to trust.

What genre is this?
This is classified as a romantic suspense. It is a mystery also with many twists and turns in the plot.

I believe it will appeal mostly to women between the ages of twenty and eighty.

Tell us about yourself.
I grew up dirt poor, in the south. After receiving a BS in geology and a masters in math, I worked in the oil industry as a geophysicist for sixteen years. After being laid off during the oil crunch, I went back to school and got an MA in psychology. I was a counselor/psychotherapist for about ten years and then retired. After retiring, I decided to write the novel that had been in my head for years. Once I started writing, the characters took over and I have been unable to stop writing. When I’m not writing, I like to paint, swim, walk on the beach, and read.
