How well do you know your loved ones?  What happens when you’re blindsided by betrayal and happy hour is no longer an option?

Elle Nixon has the perfect life as a music PR maven and party girl on the L.A. social scene. She attends the hottest parties and has a roster of artists, which reads like the who’s who of Billboard magazine until her charismatic boyfriend disappears…during the middle of a high-profile fraud investigation into his investment firm by the FBI.

Add an unplanned pregnancy to the mix and suddenly, it’s not so fun anymore to walk a mile in her Louboutins.

What genre is this?
Chick Lit

Tell us more about Elle. Sounds like she’s got the perfect life – at the start.
Elle Nixon is the type of person who has her life mapped out and seems poised to have it all…until she discovers her boyfriend is a complete stranger. She defines herself by her job, she’s a publicist to music’s biggest stars. She has to redefine what’s important to her and learn how to pick up the pieces when it seems like her whole life has just gone up smoke. On top of that, she’s pregnant which adds a sense of urgency for her to get it together.

What kind of readers will it appeal to?
Both genders, it’s a fun read, a little bit of humor, a little drama and a little mystery thrown in with a splash of shopping.

Complete this sentence for us: if you like _________________, you’ll love my book.
If you like Bridget Jones’ Diary, you’ll love my book Bumped.

Have you written any other books that we should read next?
I have written a book called “Baby Modeling & Beyond: From the Stroller to the Red Carpet.” It’s about how to get your kids into the commercials and film. My daughter started in print modeling when she was four months and has been working ever since. I also have my first novel, “DreamCity,” which is about an actress who tries to make it big in Hollywood (I wrote it before my daughter was born).

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m East Coast born but happy to call myself a Los Angeles-native (hey it’s been almost 20 years). I’ve been writing since I was kid and that was fostered by a love of reading. I have a degree in print journalism from USC and have written articles that have appeared in a variety of newspapers and magazines.
