Izzy’s Cold Feet is about a girl who had a traumatic childhood and just wants a happy, settled life with the man she loves. Which is great, because she’s about to get married. The trouble is, she’s not sure if she loves her fiance, Greg, as much as she should do.

During the week leading up to her wedding day, Izzy hears from three of her ex-boyfriends, confusing her even more. The reader is taken on a journey through Izzy’s past, where she examines each relationship and has to decide, who did she love the most? And who should she be with, Greg, or one of her past loves?

What genre is this?
Chick lit / modern women’s fiction.

You say Izzy had a traumatic childhood. What happened and what kind of adult did she grow into?
When she was 12, her sister went missing and she still doesn’t know what happened to her. She loves to cook, and she’s very organised … but she over-analyses too much and sometimes acts too impulsively.

What kind of readers will it appeal to?
Those who want a fun read with a little depth, something to take on holiday or read in the bath, chocolate and wine are optional but good accompaniments.

Chocolate and wine are always good accompaniments! Have you written any other books that we should read next?
Amy & Zach, my first novel, is told in the first person, alternating between two points of view: Amy’s, the British girl who’s run away from her troubles to the USA, and Zach, the American guy who rescues her. More fun, romance, and a few twists.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m a compulsive writer, a constant reader, and I love to cook and talk about how cute my golden retriever is (she really is adorable).

Have you got photos of her on your website? You do have a website, right?
Indeed, I do… www.sarahlouisesmith.com.

How can we follow you on Twitter and/or Facebook?

What’s next?
I’m currently working on my third novel, a completely new story… A large number of readers have also asked me to write a sequel to Amy & Zach so that’s at the back of my mind… watch this space.
