When Marc Stafford comes home for the first time in four years, he meets Gianne Marvray at a family celebration. He is instantly attracted to her, but soon discovers she’s recovering from a catastrophic illness, and she is his father’s patient.

Marc is everything Gianne has always wanted in a man. He’s handsome, educated, motivated and family-oriented. And that’s the problem. Marc has his eye on marriage and family. Even though Gianne refuses to discuss any kind of commitment, he is bound and determined to change her mind.

What genre is it?
Contemporary romance.

A Woman’s Worth will appeal to contemporary romance readers who are looking for a story with relatable characters and a happy ending.

Tell us more about Marc and Gianne.
Marc Stafford is a Las Vegas personal trainer and raw vegan foods advocate who is one of six brothers in a medical family. Considered the family rebel because he chose not to become a doctor, he is passionate about his profession and his life in general.

School media specialist, Gianne Marvray, has been through the worst two years of her life physically and emotionally. After a battle with cancer and all it entails, she is finally ready to start living her life again. She wants to see new places, meet new people and experience new things.

We’ll be meeting the rest of Marc’s family, right?
A Woman’s Worth is the first in my new series featuring the Stafford brothers.

That’s great. We wanted to ask you about your book title. The last time we interviewed you was about your novel, Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing. Are we crazy, but is there a theme here?
I use old school R&B song titles for all of my books, because that’s my favorite music, and you can use them legally. The title, A Woman’s Worth, is from a song by Alicia Keys which says, in part:

A real man knows a real woman when he sees her.
And a real woman knows a real man ain’t afraid to please her.
And a real woman knows a real man always comes first.
And a real man just can’t deny a woman’s worth.

The lyrics were just perfect for my book.

Are there other songs – we mean,  books – we should look out for?
I’ve written seven others, but I’d recommend Have You Seen Her?

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I am a New Jersey native who has been in love with books since I was old enough to figure out the words for myself. For years I only read non-fiction then in the 80’s I moved on to mystery and suspense and didn’t start reading romance until the mid-90’s. My husband and youngest daughter relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 1994. In 2001 I began writing and didn’t publish until 2010.  Since then, I’ve released seven novels, one novelette and I’m loving the life of an independent author.
