The idea is to take young aspiring travelers around the world from the comfort of their own home or the luxurious comfort of an airplane. We truly believe that our book will bring families closer together. Our book serves as an educational, fun and entertaining reading for children 4 – 10 years of age. It reflects on traveling to some of the world’s most famous landmarks and popular destinations around the world.

How does it achieve that?
The book consists of fun rhymes and important information about the selected places, then goes on to ask simple questions to help retain the information. The creative and bright illustrations are a great discussion topic for both the children and parents.

You say it’s aimed at very young kids?
All children who love to read and be inspired to travel to popular destinations on our beautiful earth, man made and natural creations of the earth.

The title mentions a Captain Frankie.
Captain Frankie is the pilot and tour guide of the wondrous adventure story in our book. He currently studies Aeronautics at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, having completed his bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science and in his first year doing his Master of Science in Aeronautics. He aims to pursue a career as a professional pilot with his years of education at Embry-Riddle.

Captain Frankie was inspired by a wooden airplane with the rotating wooden propellers carved by the rural people which
was one of the first things that sparked his dream to become an airline pilot. This is the same exact glow that we want to bring out in our little readers, to be inspired to pursue their dreams.

So what role does he play in the story?
He flies the children to the various wonderful destinations, educating and teaching them with information in cute rhyming format.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
Living most of my life in Zimbabwe, I now call Wanaque, New Jersey my home for the past eight years. Inspired by my experiences in Africa, as well as by the many beautiful places that I and my family have lived in and visited. A sculpture, which stands in the Military Museum in Gweru, Zimbabwe was one of my sources of inspiration when I decided to write a children’s travel book. It was made by a rural man from sticks and small tree trunks, in the image of a plane he saw flying overhead – a sight so rare in Zimbabwe’s remote regions that he perceived it as a huge bird.

Now nearly 8,000 miles away from my homeland, we have passed through many destinations around the globe in between emigrating from Zimbabwe and settling down in North Jersey.
