Kelley Maestas is a contemporary romance novelist. She lives in Colorado with her husband James, and is the proud mother of three young adults. Kelley’s career has varied from dental assisting to teaching, but she has found bliss in writing romance novels. As an Air Force wife, she has had the opportunity to travel the world. This has given her great insight and an opportunity to observe people of many cultures.

How easily do new storylines come to you? If we give you four random words  – Man, Woman, Airport, Darkness – can you give us a brief storyline?
It’s pitch black outside. Who goes to the airport at four in morning? What was I thinking when I answered that advertisement? I hold up the sign that reads Memphis 227 and wait for him to appear. As the bodies trickle off of the plane my knees begin to shake. What if he’s not who I had hoped he would be. I watch as the last body emerges from the plan and smile to myself. I can definitely work with that.
