Why you must read Bill Meeks’ Danger on Liberty Pier
Dogboy, aka Bronson Black, is Colta City’s 13-year-old superhero. After defeating the Guild of Thieves things have settled down for the mangy masked crimefighter…until he sees local businessman Dexter Stonehouse gunned down on Liberty Pier. When it appears an old family friend might be involved Dogboy jumps into action to unmask a killer. Does he have the guts to expose a man from his past, or will he ignore the evidence to learn more about his strange powers? There’s a murder. There’s a mystery. Sometimes the murder isn’t the mystery. Dogboy sounds like quite a character. Tell us about him. We’ve met Dogboy before, haven’t we? This isn’t his first outing. Oh, that’s good. Tell us who else is in this novel. Cindy McNeil is Bronson’s “friend” and a girl who’s well on her way to become a reporter when she grows up. In Den of Thieves she began an investigation into City Hall which landed her in a facility below it. Now that’s she’s free she’s rounding up some of the other kids who’ve escaped to take down Mayor Lane once and for all. What genre is this novel? Danger on Liberty Pier is written for people of all ages. It’s appropriate for children, but the themes and characters are ones that adults can identify with as well. Tell us a little about yourself. We’re more X-Men fans; we never could get into Superman. What about social media? What’s next? |
