Brynja has had a very hard life due to her life on the run, and her rocky relationship with her father. She has these powers that confound and fascinate her, but in the same breath, they’ve been a curse. Because of them, she’s had to hide who she really is. Her powers define her. When she stumbles across the path of Galinn Gunn, she has the chance to find out who she is. He has the answers to everything her father never told her. But are Galinn’s interests as selfless as they seem?

We’re a little confused by that. Make it clearer, please?

Oh geez, I’m back in high school right now with a blank mind. Tempestuous… What do I say without giving too much away.

At least you can tell us what genre it is. That’s straightforward, right?

New adult is a hard genre to define. My characters are young, anywhere from eighteen to twenty one. But they do contain strong language and sexual situations.

Tell us a little more about Brynja. Unusual name.

Brynja -pronounced Brynya– the origin is Norse. She’s a feisty, strong-willed twenty year old, that’s Tempestuous in nature. She’s a product of her environment, hardened by years on the run.

Norse? Who is this story aimed at?

Anyone who likes faeries, berserkers (Norse mythological warriors), dragons, The Wild Hunt. All of this is wrapped around a steamy romance with lots of sarcasm.

It’s all still very mysterious. Maybe this will help. Complete this sentence for us: if you like _________________, you’ll love Tempestuous.

Some authors might not like their name thrown out there, but the truth is, her writing was hugely inspirational to me. Her characters are so down to earth. I think that I can relate to them on many levels. She made me believe, hey, I can do this.

Tell us about yourself.

I work full time, have two teenagers and a house to keep, which I constantly disregard so that I can have time to write. (The housekeeping, not the kids.) To think that I started writing because I had too much time on my hands… How things change. Now I can never have enough time to write.

So have you written any other novels?

Absolutely. Torrid. It’s the sequel to Bryn’s story. I’m currently penning the third and final installment. I’ve also released Feral, the first for a second series.

That’s a lot of work – you really must’ve neglected the housekeeping!

What’s next?

A stand alone novel that is under-wraps for the time being. I’ve been working simultaneously on the third and last installment of Tempestuous. In all honesty, though, I have at least two other novels in the works, but on hiatus. I have to go with whatever is coming to me at that moment.
