Things are finally starting to look up for Skye Fletcher. She’s got a new job with a great salary, she’s finally out of the rat-trap she used to live in and into a decent apartment. She couldn’t be happier. Except for the thorn in her side, a.k.a. Cian Hunter, her arrogant and too good-looking co-worker whom she has the misfortune of being stuck with.

In spite of himself, Cian Hunter fell hard for the surly, unfriendly woman who made no secret of her dislike for him. He knows he and Skye are meant to be. Convincing her of that fact seems like an impossible feat. However, he’s utterly confident he’s up to the task. His future and his happiness depend on it, after all.

When Skye’s one impulsive, uncharacteristic little act changes the status-quo between them, her life gets entangled with Cian’s way more than she’s comfortable with.

That’s when her life really turns upside down…

This is obviously a love story. What’s the official designation?
New Adult Contemporary Romance.

That sounds a little technical; who’s it for? For readers who love romantic comedies – sarcastic, kick-ass heroines and funny and snarky moments, a hero who’s a match for that heroine and who has the strength and will to fight for her, to keep her in his life.

Tell us about Skye.
Skye lives alone and had to work hard to put herself through college. She hasn’t had an easy life and because of that she keeps people at a distance except for a few friends who saw past her prickly and sarcastic attitude to the loyal person inside who has a soft heart she keeps hidden. She’s stubborn, strong, quirky, funny, sarcastic and like Cian would say, she doesn’t compromise worth a damn. She’s the type of person you’d trust with your life and know she’d have your back, the one who would go to bat for you if she calls you a friend. She has a strong sense of integrity and loyalty and she loves fiercely.

And Cian?
Cian has a strong character himself, a perfect match for Skye’s. He’s always played the field and never really had a serious relationship. He loves annoying Skye and exchanging barbs with her. He finds her interesting and never loses an opportunity to rile her up, much to her annoyance. He has the ability to love deeply, a strong sense of fun – he needs to, what with Skye being so complicated and serious – and he has an endearing habit of teasing her. He adores Skye.

We already adore Skye!
I love Skye’s prickly sarcastic attitude and her soft heart, her loyalty to the people she counts as her friends, the people she cares about.

Have you written any other books that we should read next?
Not yet, no but hopefully I’ll finish the numerous ones I’ve started.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I love reading and will try practically any genre in either fiction or non-fiction, though I’ve got a soft spot for funny romances and paranormal. If I go too long without a book, I go into withdrawal and it’s not pretty. I firmly believe that being able to spin a story, the effort and love that goes into it, is a miracle in itself.

I carry my Kindle everywhere, not to mention I also have an e-reader app on my phone just in case I ever forget my Kindle at home (god forbid!) or I’m stranded someplace with no books. Better be stuck someplace with electricity though.

I love movies and TV shows with plenty of action, supernatural powers, comedy, romance and I can’t live without music. Be warned I sing along with the song.

What’s next?
When I finished Holding Out For Skye, I wasn’t ready to let go of Skye and Cian, so I started a second book starring them. There might be a third book as well.

How easily do new storylines come to you? If we give you four random words – Man, Woman, Mexico, Future – can you give us a brief storyline?
Hmm, I like to daydream and I’m always making up stuff in my head. So I’d say, easily enough but I have to plan and focus seriously in order to get a good plot.

Brief storyline:

A man shows up right on the doorstep of Jenna’s house in Mexico, unconscious and bleeding. And with no identity. He has no memory of who he is and where he came from and his clothes are unlike any Jenna had ever seen.

Not to mention, no idea of the identity of the men who suddenly appear out of nowhere in pursuit and why they are after him. Jenna is stuck in a race for her life and that of the man who is beginning to mean more to her every moment they are together. Who is he? Will she learn the truth before it’s too late? Or will she lose everything?
