THE UNKNOWN SUN is about a human girl, Moira, who is chosen to save a far off world. Her tragic past, her sense of self loss and loneliness, keeps her at a distance from everyone around her. When someone who knows too much about her past attacks, she is rescued and taken to a world that needs her. She must free their gods to save their world. With the help of twin Angel-like friends, their trio must find a journal and release the gods. However, more mystery and dark secrets abound, leaving the three friends at the edge of a revolution and at the mercy of a fallen god, the boy who’d attacked Moira on Earth.

THE UNKNOWN SUN deals with a teenage girl’s need for love and acceptance in a world that is seemingly out to get her. This book deals with all the many questions that arise from her pained life on Earth to her Chosen status on Ein-Aral. Why was she chosen? Why did the strange boy know so much? Who are “The Four” who are mentioned in the journal? Why does he want her and the gods known as THE UNKNOWN SUN dead?

This is book one of The Destiny series. Who is the series aimed at?
Teens and lovers of fantasy.

What do we need to know about Moira?
Moira’s tragic past has driven her into self induced exile. Afraid that everyone she is close to is fated to die, she avoids people at all cost after not one, but two accidents kill her entire family. Though lonely and shy, her quiet demeanor hides a sharp mind, big heart, and a sense of loyalty that may just get her killed. It is her determination to keep those she loves safe no matter what that drives her.

How much is her personality based on yours?
I am actually almost opposite of Moira. The only similarities we share are loyalty and a sense of isolation.

Belamar of the Citadel is the son of the King and a favorite among his people. Quiet, confident, and protective, he divides his time between leading hunting parties and training young Skylanders for battle. Content to let his twin sister lead the legions, Belamar’s talent lies in defensive tactics and swordplay and there is no one more loyal. He had vowed to never love after his twin sister’s mate was killed by the enemies, but his heart is instantly lost to the tiny girl with the sad gray eyes.

Airi is the sole remaining female of the ruling family of the Citadel. As Bel’s twin, she is also his complete opposite in temperament. Headstrong , stubborn, and fiercely loyal to her family she lets nothing get between her and what she feels is right. Naturally vivacious, she is much more outgoing than her laid back twin and is a natural leader. As Leader of the Citadel’s Legion, her respect is earned and not given, as is her heart. Devastated by her mate’s death, she wears a shield around her heart much thicker than the one she carries into battle.

Even though this is the start of the series, we hear talk of a prequel?
Not officially published, but I have a free serial prequel to THE UNKNOWN SUN that is available on my website. It is up to ch. 2 as of now.
