“No Regrets With You” is set in St. Louis Missouri and the story line evolves around a Cuban-American family named Santos. The stories will focus on one of the five Santos children but with story lines intertwining the rest of the family as well. They’re a very modern and contemporary family that loves one another unconditionally. Their strongest suit is their ability to support each other through whatever comes along. Although it is contemporary romance, there are other life lessons thrown in as well.

This novel is the start of a series, the Santos Family series. Presumably they’re all contemporary romance novels.
The genre is adult contemporary romance with some sex and language. My teenage son’s question was, “Mom, is there any erotica?” My stunned answer was, “No, but it’s not Mary Poppins either and we’ll leave it at that!”

The romance is hot but tasteful, and will appeal to most women wanting a good romantic read.

So the target audience is women?
Women who are looking for a good romantic story about two people navigating the sometimes stressful path of love.( Haven’t we all been there at one time or another?) The story is romantic with just enough frustration to hold your interest. You definitely want to see what’s in store next!

We’d need a strong lead character to bring us back. Who have we got?
The main character is Carli Santos, a trauma nurse and dedicated to her career. She’s had one disastrous experience with a man and doesn’t want a repeat for sure. She’s still not quite open to the possibility of a new love interest but sometimes it sneaks up on you!

Reid Brandt is everything urban sophistication and Hollywood. He’s an executive producer who ends up in St. Louis on a work related project. The sparks and sexual heat fly when he meets Carli and he wants to run from her as much as he wants to take her to bed!

Their story is good and trust and growth are two of the main things they both find along the way.

All of which sets us up nicely for the next part of the series. What should we expect –  and when?
Book #2 of the Santos Family Series is finished and ready to hit the market soon. The title is “Love’s Other Plan” and I think readers are going to enjoy it.

Tell us about your life.
I’m a married mom of one teenage son (the obvious questioner about erotica!) and we reside in the Midwest. I’m a registered nurse and have been for 20 years. I love to read and books have been such a big part of my life. I was a journalism major the first time round in college but life got in the way as they say. I’ve finally fulfilled my dream of writing a book and getting it into the hands of readers.

We’ve just noticed something: you’re a nurse, Carli Santos is a nurse…
I think some of myself is in my main character simply because I understand her dedication to what she does. I can also identify with being burned in a relationship but then the joy of finally meeting that one person who completes your life.

What’s next?
Getting “Love’s Other Plan” out there and then proceeding on to book #3 in the series. A few chapters already completed and taking shape at the present time.
