Tell us about Off Sides.
My book is titled Off Sides and it is a new adult, contemporary romance. It follows the ten short days in the lives of Ryan Burnham and Daniella “Danny” Cross, as they give into an
amazingly intense connection to each other. But it’s not all love and roses.

Ryan is the son of a U.S. Congressman and lives under the thumb of his domineering and pretentious parents. He is a senior in college and captain of his school’s hockey team. He’s always lived his life doing all of the things his parents insist he do to maintain the
cleanest of public images.

Danny is a waitress in a diner close to campus. She has dyed lavender hair, piercings in her face and she’s smart as a whip. She’s also suffered tremendous hardship in her life but she doesn’t let her get it down. Working two jobs and volunteering in a homeless shelter,
she’s trying to get back on track so she can return to Julliard to complete her music education.

When a chance encounter brings these two souls together, there is instant chemistry but there is something more. They both delve into exploring whether a relationship is possible when two people come from such vastly different backgrounds.

What genre is it?
Contemporary romance/New adult.

What kind of readers will it appeal to?
This will appeal to a wide variety of readers but probably caters to women ages 18-40. However, I’ve had several men read it and tell me they loved it, I think because it has hockey in it!

Complete this sentence for us: if you like _________________, you’ll love Off Sides.
Addison Moore’s Someone To Love.

Have you written any other books that we should read next?
I’ve written three others. Two are adult paranormal romance: Second Chance and Stolen Heart, and a Young Adult Paranormal called Forever Young. It is the first in a series called The Forever Land Chronicles.

Tell us a bit about yourself, please.
I am a lawyer who owns my own business in North Carolina but I have always wanted to write fiction. I finally got my nerve up to try it last year, and after a lot of research, reading, talking to other authors and a few seminars, I decided to go the route of indie
publishing. I like the creative control it gives me. My dream would be to transition away from practising law and become a writer full time. I live with my husband, Shawn and our two big dogs, Piper and Atticus.

What’s next?
I was in the middle of working on my sequel to Forever Young but I have had such
amazing response to Off Sides, I am now working on a spin-off to that book. It’s called Off Limits and I hope to have it published by spring, 2013.
