My new book is about Allison, age 21, who has her entire life completely mapped out. She will finish grad school and get a great job so that she can take the burden of herself and her schizophrenic mother off of her aging grandparents.

I shouldn’t have to tell you that things don’t go according to plan. Allison’s absentee father shows up telling tales of  love and ancient magic, causing Allison to question everything she thought she knew.

What genre is it?
It’s paranormal fantasy with a  romantic sub plot.

Cool. Tell us more.
Allison is introverted and a loner. She feels she is responsible for her mother’s schizophrenia, regardless of how many people deny it. All she knows is that her mother was normal and happy before she was born. Her diagnosis didn’t come until Allison was a year old. That guilt is the driving force behind everything she does and doesn’t do.

What kind of readers will this book appeal to?
Readers who like Young Adult novels involving magic and mystery.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m a stay home Mom to four kids. I write when I can, and read as much as possible. We live in small town New Hampshire in an old farmhouse where we sometimes see deer eating apples outside our dining room window.
