Interview with Toni Kenyon, author of Return To Ala Moana Beach
Ty Carter’s an expert bomb disposal technician who doesn’t take anything lying down. But a bullet to the back cuts short his tour in Iraq, returning him to a wife who he believes deserves more than half-a-man as a husband. Lulu Carter wants nothing more than the man she married to come home. Instead, an injured and disturbed stranger turns life upside down for her and their children. RETURN TO ALA MOANA BEACH is about Ty and Lulu’s journey as they struggle to make a decision about whether or not to remain in their marriage. Oh wow, that’s heavy. What genre is it? You’re not going to tell us what decision they make, are you? Who will this book appeal to? Have you written any other books that we should read next? Tell us a bit about yourself. I love my sons, my husband-to-be and our two dogs (not necessarily all in that order…) and my daily walks along the beachfront near our home help to keep me sane. Sounds like paradise. What about social media? What’s next? |
Toni, although this type of book would not be the sort I would normally pick up, you might just have converted me
Aw, John. Thank you. It was such an inspiring story to write. I have so much respect for people who live their lives away from their families. It must be so hard not to ‘bring the job home’ in so many ways.
