Vampires are everywhere. Most of the stories about them are myths. They walk in the sun, they love garlic, and though they need blood to survive, the laws require they purchase their blood from blood banks.

That’s a twist! You’ve turned everything on its head.
Secrets in Blood is a twist on the classic vampire tale. It’s True Blood meets Angel and Buffy with some Vampire Diaries thrown in for good measure.

We’re intrigued. Tell us more.
Italian vampire Nicola Angliatti is sent to the United States to train the vampire police force how to keep the fragile peace with humans. While traveling through the Washington state wilderness, he comes across a lost little girl. He tries to return her to her camp, but before he releases her, he’s shot with a silver bullet. The girl’s father used her as bait to capture Nicola and keeps him imprisoned underground in a silver cage for eighteen years, using Nicola’s body to develop a drug that will kill all vampire kind.

What happens to the girl?
Evangeline hates her father. Ever since he killed the kind vampire in front of her, she’s known he was a madman. But the only life she’s ever known is below ground with the religious cult her father leads. She has no identification, no contacts in the outside world-only her wits and strength to help her. Eventually, she can take no more. She’s making preparations to run when she discovers her father’s secret. The vampire she thought dead is very much alive.

Her whole world crumbling around her, Evangeline knows she must free Nicola. Can they escape her father’s fanatical cult? And if they do, what will happen between them?

This isn’t a horror story, is it?
Secrets in Blood is a paranormal romance.

Secrets in Blood will appeal to readers who love hot Italian vampires, kick ass heroines, danger, intrigue, a romance that lasts a lifetime, and hot, steamy sex.

If you like the idea of a hot vampire who is brought to his knees by the unexpected and undeniable feelings he develops for a human woman, you’ll love my book.

We’re curious about this vampire.
Nicola (Nic) has been alive and alone for more than eight hundred years. Vampires are solitary creatures, rarely forming close relationships or falling in love. A senior cleric in the Vampire Conclave (the vampire’s global ruling body), he has long advocated for peace between humans and vampires. He opposes the young, impulsive vampires who only see humans as a food source. He is used to getting his way and does not trust easily. Due to his long life and the mutation from the virus that turned him,  he has a nearly perfect memory which allows his mind to remain strong during his long ordeal as a prisoner.

Tell us about Evangeline.
Evangeline is the daughter of a crazed medical researcher. Her father, Henry, used her body to help develop the serum to fight the vampires. The injections altered her DNA, making her stronger than a normal human, but still quite mortal. She can hunt, survive in the wilderness, and take care of herself. She’s a bit irreverent, a lot rebellious, and thinks on her feet.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
Writing a bio is about my least favorite task. I can write hundreds of thousands of words about alternate universes but fifty words about myself? That’s difficult. I’ve been a writer all of my life, but only managed to finally finish a complete story two years ago. Since then, though, I can’t seem to stop. I write every day, usually late at night. When I’m not writing, I’m either working at my full time job or running. I’m training for an ultra-marathon next year in Italy. While I’m there, I’ll also be doing research for the rest of the In Blood series as the action moves to Sorrento in Book 2. I’ve also decided that for every book I release, I’m going to develop a custom drink recipe. Secrets in Blood contains a recipe for a drink called the Sanguine Kiss. It’s delicious and blood red.

Yum. We’re guessing we’ll be able to find the recipe on your website. Where is it?
