Tell us about Seamus.
Seamus Robinson is a 16 year old Physics Genius. Most of his life he has been focused on his desire to build a dark energy reactor. He keeps to himself and is easily frustrated by others. When the apocalypse comes he is forced to grow up quickly and work with the other survivors. It’s not easy, but with help his dream becomes a reality and it helps them all.

Seamus is based less on myself than on my son. I wish I was analytical like Seamus but I wish that Seamus was more considerate of others.

We said this is the start of a series. What comes next?
The sequel to Annihilation is coming out soon. It’s called Evacuation and follows the survivors from Book 1 as they learn about the virus that wiped out the rest of the planet.

I have four books planned for The Seamus Chronicles. Book 3 Colonization is in development now.

Can you tell us what happens?
Seamus and friends make it safely to a new planet that supports human life but they struggle to build a society there.

I am a write at home dad. I have been home with the kids since 2006 and we have always loved making up stories together. Once I decided to write some of them down I couldn’t stop. When I’m not writing I’m chasing after a dog, cats and chickens or working in the garden.
