Tell us who Shane is.
A strong leader who demands respect and possesses a lofty amount of patience, his decisions are cool and calculated. At nearly 6′ 4″ tall, with black hair and piercing blue eyes, he is an intimidating individual who doesn’t believe in coincidences. Born in Boston, he grew up in southern Ontario as part of the White River Pack. Maintaining status of Beta, he remained loyal to their Alpha and proved himself worthy of being the next in line for that position of authority.

Coming from a family with money, Shane never wanted for anything; including companionship. Always a willing woman by his side, he glided through life without a care in the world. When his father died, he acquired an entirely new outlook, replacing his impetuous youth with intent and purpose. Creating a construction business from ground level at age 24, he became a successful entrepreneur that by the age of 33, had the means to retire and live in extreme comfort for the rest of his life.

Failing to persuade him to leave after his father’s death, Shane’s mother moved back to the Boston estate, leaving pack life as well as her son behind.

When tragedy strikes the White River Pack, Shane wanders aimlessly to the central United States. After months of roaming without any objective, he is starved for the contact of another human being and it is then that fate steps in; delivering Elisa Brewer and her haunting green eyes into his outstretched arms.

Tell us about Elisa.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Kansas City Missouri, Elisa retreats to the family’s country property to be alone in her grief after losing her parents in an automobile accident. With the steadfast help and support of close family friends, she sells her parent’s townhouse and invests the capital. Taking everything that she owns, she sets up permanent residence at the lake cabin with the intention of becoming a recluse. Maintaining a quiet, solitary life, the lake is where she spends most of her time, lost in the memories with her family. Randy, a fellow classmate from years before, comes to Elisa’s rescue, saving her from the depression that had taken over her life. Forming an intimate relationship, he moves into the cabin with her. Eventually his lifestyle begins to destroy their happiness and feeling taken advantage of, she breaks things off; leaving herself once again, alone.

In the weeks that follow, Elisa finds comfort in the appearance of a large, black wolf. Frightened at first, she learns quickly that he intends her no harm and she begins to look forward to his visits and his companionship. When he fails to appear for weeks, she gives into the loneliness and allows Randy back into her life.

Little does she know that the wolf’s disappearance and the arrival of a new neighbor will ultimately bring about life altering events that will change her forever.
