Tell us about One Blood.
One Blood is a Horror/Suspense novel about a supernatural curse tormenting a group of people unaware of their hidden connections. The Kirkus Book review named it one of the Top Books of 2012 and called it, “A novel of remarkable merit that blazes trails, plotted at breakneck speed that won’t let up.”

Wow, that’s impressive. What genre did you say it is?
It is classified as Horror but I like to think of it more as Supernatural Suspense.

What kind of readers will it appeal to?
Anyone who loves a book with an ending they won’t see coming. Readers of Stephen King, Anne Rice, Michael Connelly, Dan Brown, Brandon Massey, and Tananarive Due.

Complete this sentence for us: If you like ___________, you’ll love One Blood
If you like page-turners, you’ll love One Blood.

The language of One Blood is quite beautiful – is this the poet in you? And are you a poet who writes novels or a novelist who writes poetry?
Thank you! I think I’m a novelist who writes poetry, although I started off as a poet trying to write a novel, lol.

Tell us a bit about yourself.
Well my name is pronounced (kwan-too-a-mar-oo). I was born in Pittsburgh, PA, but grew up in Charleston, WV, and Lake Charles, LA as well. One Blood took me 12 years to write, edit, and publish. I’m very passionate about helping aspiring writers get their work out into the world in a big way. I live in Istanbul, Turkey (just moved here) and am currently hard at work on a book called From Unknown Author to Breakout Bestseller in 6 Steps, as well as my 2nd Thriller: The Uneasy Sleep of Giants and several short stories.

Have you got a blog or website where readers can keep up with your work? And how can we follow you on Facebook and / or Twitter?
I do have a blog and website. My website (and blog) is http://www.qwantuamaru.com, fans can join the One Blood fanpage on facebook and/or follow me on twitter (@OneBloodbook).

What’s next?
Exploring Turkey and beyond and much more writing. Look out for my short stories Bath Salt Babies, couRAGE, and Stalled, coming out in the first half of 2013!
