It’s not unusual to find romance online through internet dating – but who would ever think of finding a partner on eBay?

Just over nine years ago the oddest thing happened to me… I was 24 at the time and had lived in Macclesfield all my life. England had just won the Rugby World Cup and arranged a game at Twickenham that
December (2003). I went onto eBay to find tickets to the match and ended up getting more than I was bidding for…

It Started With A Click: A Memoir of an eBay Romance is the collection of emails and messages sent between myself and the seller as our relationship grew. It is a really interesting ( “fly on the wall”) insight into the growth of a relationship. Right from the start when there was just a common interest, through the build up and finding that spark! And, sparks were certainly found…if you know what I mean?!

What genre is it?
Although placed in the Memoir section on Amazon, I would say it is definitely a Chick Lit Romance!

What kind of readers will it appeal to?
So far, I have had feedback from women in their 20s right up to women in their 60s and they’ve all enjoyed it! I have also had a man, (I don’t like to guess these things but…) over the age of 40, who also loved it!

How would you like the reader to feel as they read the last word of your book?
I want them to be excited! I want them to smile. I want them to want more…

Tell us a bit about yourself.
This is a little bit of a difficult question. By telling too much here I could ruin the story for the readers! Am I still in Macclesfield? Did I move South? Am I in a completely different part of the country? Or even a different country all together?

What I will say is that you find out an awful lot about me in the book!

What’s next?
On to book two! It’s there but needs polishing. I’m completely absorbed in It Started With A Click and it’s sequel that I can’t really think past that at the moment. One day I’d like to sit down, sip a glass of wine and relax…
