The Raven Dreams is set in a fantasy world, but depicts the real struggles and life decisions, both personal and shared, that we can all relate to. The characters have real emotions and face trials that test who they are and who they will become. It is a story about love, family, trust, and fate that ties in to the wonder and magic of fantasy that I, and most everyone, often dream about.

What is this world? Who are these characters? Tell us more.
Here’s the synopsis:

When the Sages reveal a shocking secret connecting their world to another, Eva, Isaak and the rest of the Vitalists are sent into a whirlwind of chaos and deception. Paralleled by nightmares that have begun haunting her sleep, and dreams of a raven that pull her away from the only home she knows, Eva is beyond terrified. The truth will test the humanity of each and every living being, clawing beneath the surface to expose the good from the bad and threaten to push Eva over the edge of sanity. Simon O’Neal is among the few humans who call themselves Rebels, fighting against the Empowerment that has taken control of Dysmortia, turning humans into Betrayers, trained to kill – even those once considered friends. Despite his heroic rebellion, Simon has secrets from his past that he would rather keep tucked away. But when his path crosses with that of a mysterious girl with bright turquoise eyes, his secrets are no longer easy to hide and they find themselves thrown into the hands of fate as they embark on a terrifyingly impossible journey that will bring many forgotten secrets to light.

What genre is this, and who is it aimed at?
Fantasy/Science-Fiction.

This book will appeal to many ages, mostly young adult and adult ages 15-50, if I were to take a guess!

Tell us about Eva, Isaak and Simon.
Eva Dawn is a Vitalist.

Explain what that is.
A being granted with powers from the earth to use only for good. Such as healing or rejuvenating the lands when they cannot do so for themselves. Each Vitalist lives reciprocally with the land for centuries.

OK – back to Eva.
Eva struggles with a dark childhood, which makes her susceptible to terrible nightmares. But she soon finds out that she has much more to be frightened of than her dreams.

What about Isaak and Simon?
Isaak Dawn, Eva’s rambunctious younger brother, lives alone with Eva in their parents’ old home. He is light-hearted most of the time but when he notices Eva begin to fall into darkness, his soul is tested. He does not want anything harm his sister but when Eva takes that decision away from him, Isaak pursues every avenue he can to get her back, meeting a strange old man along the way that has more secrets than Isaak is prepared for.

Simon O’Neal is a human of Dysmortia, a world separate from the Vitalists. The humans have been at war for nearly a year with a force they cannot stand against. Simon flees his home as his only means of survival. His life becomes a daily battle between life and death as he tries to figure out a way to stop the war. But an unexpected arrival distracts him from his path and leads him into unknown territories.

Have you written any other novels?
The Raven Dreams is my first published novel but I am currently working on the sequel to it. I have written a couple of short stories and I also have a blog where I write about things that have inspired my writing as well as book reviews and whatever else I fancy to write about in the moment.

Where is your blog?

Tell us a bit more about yourself.
My hobbies include reading a lot and writing a lot, of course. But also going to the beaches and parks near my house is something I love to do. I am married to a wonderful man and have two beautiful young girls who make my life a true blessing. We spend a lot of our time together just having fun and remembering how to be a kid!

Sounds idyllic.
